Cloud Engineer (GCP)
Responsibilities
- Create automated orchestration and deployment solutions using Terraform/Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, as well as other open source solutions.
- Set up, configure and manage cloud environments and services
- Write scripts and automation using Python/Spark/Java/BASH, Go
- Perform Cloud foundation services work orchestration
- Build CI/CD Pipelines, Cloud Dataflow Pipelines, Cloud composer workflows
- Experience in a Systems Engineering/DevOps role, or very strong SysAdmin experience
- Strong experience in managing Linux based infrastructure
Experience / Skills
- GCP certified google cloud engineer is a must
- Must have cloud build/migration background , with min. 3 years of experience working in the cloud migration projects
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation and in Terraform scripting (infrastructure as a code)
- Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenStack, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Jenkins, Spinnaker)
- Must be very comfortable with most of Unix commands, OS parameters tuning, bash-scripting
- Experience in OS security controls, privileges and escalation
- Knowledge of Networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks)
- You have experience in debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software
- Understanding of monitoring and systems tools like Stackdriver, Splunk, Nagios, Cacti, Graphite, Logstash, Prometheus, etc.
- Virtualization experience using Open Source tools like oVirt, OpenStack, libvirt, etc. as well as VMWare-based solutions
- Experience working with multi-cloud and hybrid environments involving AWS, Azure, GCP and OpenStack and DockerRoles and Responsibilities
