Technical Designer/Developer Advance Analytics
Below are the key qualities that are essential for the success of this role:
Experience in Alteryx, R, Python with some experience in ETL and Data management in Must
- Data Management / ETL:
- Connect, understand, and store data in various formats/sources:
- Search for relevant data assets and establish connections to the data sources
- Understand the context and structure of various data inputs/outputs
- Retrieve/store data in an effective and secure manner, compliant with the 3UK principles
- Prepare, cleanse, and transform data:
- Investigate data quality issues (missing values, outliers, duplicates, etc.)
- Apply various techniques to get the data into the right quality, shape, and format
- Excellent SQL & data blending skills and understanding the implication of various queries and being able to optimise resources and performance.
- Excellent data manipulation and data transformation skills (pivoting, transposing, summarising)
- Advanced Analytics & Data Science:
- Being able to design technical solutions for various advanced analytics scenarios
- Excellent skills in interrogating complex datasets
- Being able to statistically assess the relationships between the data fields:
- Understand distributions
- Spot and correct outliers
- Analyse associations
- Address and manage the feature engineering process
- Familiarity with statistical techniques around features engineering (PCA, MDS, correlation/association/variance etc.)
- Being able to build and compare various predictive and perspective data science models:
- Knowledge and familiarity with a range of ML algorithms (decision tree, KNN, SVM, Neural Network, Regressions etc.)
- Knowledge of statistical techniques to compare model performances: accuracy measures, error tests, lift and gain analysis
- Familiarity with Python/R is advantageous
- SDLC & Overall Qualities:
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle
- Excellent communication and system analysis skills
- Excellent problem solving, debugging, and testing skills
- Experience with running/managing solutions in production environment
- Flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills
